Ghanaian Shamo Abbey has revealed that he keen on wearing the jerseys of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
The 25-year old offensive midfielder told me on telephone from Vietnam where is playing for Bondabinhduong FC that his current form in the Vietnamese league has been tagged by the media there and his club as superb and he believes he can prove a point in the Black Stars team.
''What we just need is the chance to justify. Coach Ratomir has promised to cast his net wide and I'm confident I will be able to prove my worth when giving the chance''.
Shamo is part of an emerging large Ghanaian player presence into the Vietnamese league and has been included in the list of possible inclusions into the Star's squad ahead of Egypt 2006 by the Serbian coach.
Seeing in his hear days at Kumasi Asanti Kotoko by many as a hugely emerging football potential, Shamo who had earlier played Okwawu United then, opted to sign for Malian side, Stade Malian where he had a successful one-year stint and then headed to Asia.
Shamo was instrumental in the success of the Vietnamese league club last season and is among a host of Ghanaian players who have made it high on the V-League
