Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfield enforcer, Dan Quaye has revealed that he would have loved to have play for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the past.

According to the player who has not retired and still playing, he wish he had the opportunity to wear the red colours for the Porcupine Warriors.

The 37-year-old player is a supporter of the Kumasi based club even though he played for the Phobians.

In an interview with Asempa FM, he disclosed that during his playing days at Hearts, he had the opportunity to switch to Kotoko after they approached him.

He opines that even though he fancied the move, Kotoko was not willing to pay the money he demanded for.

Hence the move did not come on and he resorted to signing a new contract with Hearts who doubled his demands for him.

He observes that he played for Accra Great Olympics as well as giants Hearts of Oak, so if he had had been able to play for Kotoko it would have been very good for him.

When asked if he ever used charm (juju) to aid his performance on the field, he responded he does not believe in those things.

He further emphasized that it was hard work that always helped them to beat Kotoko when they played them.

Dan Quaye is currently eyeing a return to Accra Hearts of Oak as he believes he still has some oil to keep his engine running.
