Coach Dujkovic names players for international friendly

Accra, Oct 28, GNA - The Head Coach of Ghana's National football team, the Black Stars has named a 19-mmeber team for the up coming international friendly match against the Saudi national team. The least released by the Ghana Football Association through the GNA Sports includes three new faces made up of Francis Dickoh of Nordsjaelland F/C, Denmark and Alex Techie Mensah of St. Gaten F/C, Switzerland and Samuel Kuffour formerly of Bayern Munich and now with Roma of Italy.

Kuffour last played for the Stars in Kumasi where the Ghanaians drew goalless against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the group World Cup qualifier.

The other invited players are George Owu (Ashgold), Philemon McCarthy (Feyenoord), Dan Quaye (Hearts), Issah Ahmed (Kotoko), Daniel Edusei (Greece), Francis Dickoh (Denmark), Abubakari Yakubu, Anthony Obodai and Mathew Amoah (Holland).

The rest are Alex Techie Mensah (Switzerland), Asamoah Gyan (Italy), Godwin Attram, Daniel Coleman (Saudi Arabia), Michael Essien (England) Laryea Kingston (Russia), Stephen Appiah (Turkey) and Haminu Dramani (Serbia Montenegro).

Conspicuously absent from the team are Daniel Coleman of Accra Hearts of Oak and JoeTex Frimpong of Enyima F/C, Nigeria. The team departs Accra on Wednesday, November 9 and would return in a week's time.
