Reports reaching Modernghana Sports indicates that Kumasi based Asante Kotoko is in talks to hand Amos Frimpong as well as Emmanuel Gyamfi new contracts to tie them to the club for the next couple of years.

Forward Obed Owusu, defender Augustine Sefah and Jordan Opoku are there other players the Porcupine Warriors are set to hand new contracts over contract extensions.

There is no doubt these are top players and extending their contracts will come as good news for the Kotoko family.

Reports also indicate that the decision to hand these five players new contracts was reached after a management meeting yesterday. Management has decided to extend the contracts of these players whose contracts are running out shortly.

Last week news of contracts talks which have broken down between the club and Emmanuel Gyamfi attracted backlash from some fans who appealed to management to give the player a contract and avoid letting him leave the club for free.

Obed Owusu, 28, Jordan Opoku, 35 and Augustine Sefah, 27 have less than a year left on their contracts and will walked out of the club for free if their contracts are not extended.

Our Sources in Kumasi tell us they five players will not be handed contracts extension of more than two years.
