Renowned Ghanaian Sports Journalist, Godfred Akoto Boafo has taken a swipe at General Manager of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Takyi Arhin claiming his attack on the newly instituted Normalization Committee is unfair and must be called to order.

On Thursday, FIFA delegation named a four-member to see the day to day running of Ghana football at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association.

The members include Dr Kofi Amoah, former Airtel CEO Lucy Quist, ex-Kotoko Board Member Kofi Dua-Adonteng, and Naa Odofoley Nortey, a board member of the Attorney General department complete the list of members of the committee.

However, vociferous football administrator in an interview with Asempa FM on Wednesday gave the clearest indication that the four-member committee has nothing to offer Ghana football.

“Almost all the members of the Normalisation committee belong to the same political background,” Takyi Arhin said.

“Nothing good will come out of this committee (FIFA normalisation committee). I don’t trust them to do a good job at all,” he added.

The Brong Ahafo Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress further attacked Ms Lucy Quist, who is the vice chair of the Committee claiming the committee is not a beauty contest.

However, Godfred Akoto, who the Head of Current Affairs at Citi TV believes Takyi Arhin must learn to respect the personalities on the Normalization Committee and insisted his comments about the former Airtel Chief Executive Officer are absolutely irresponsible.

The normalisation committee’s mandate will include the following tasks:

- To run the GFA’s daily affairs and cooperate with the special task force once it has been set up by FIFA, CAF and the Government of Ghana;

- To review the GFA statutes to ensure compliance with the requirements of FIFA and CAF, particularly art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes, and;

- Once the GFA statutes meet the requirements of FIFA and CAF, to organise and conduct elections of a GFA executive committee on the basis of the revised GFA statutes.

The work of the Normalization Committee is expected to end in March 2019.
