Kumasi Asante Kotoko National Circles Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah, popularly known as Chairman K5 has expressed his delight over the work of the new Kotoko management team led by George Amoako as the General Manager.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Dr Kwame Kyei last month appointed a new management team to steer the affairs of the club going forward.

The club has since then been chopping successes on and off the pitch.

Since assuming office, the new management team has led the team to honour three high profile matches of which the Porcupine Warriors have won all. Kotoko beat their sworn enemies Accra Hearts of Oak by four goals to zero on aggregates after two legs.

They later beat regional rivals Ashanti Gold by three goals to zero and are set to play the return leg of the encounter over the coming weekend.

Chairman K5 in an interview on Asempa FM this morning stated that he is impressed with how the new management team has performed in the short time they have been working for the club.

“If you compare the previous management and the current management team you will observe that the current team will help Kotoko. With how things are going am impressed with the work of the new management team”, he shared.

According to him, the euphoria at the Kotoko secretariat and back to back to back wins at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is commendable and shows the good work the new team is doing.

He however lamented the current situation with Paa Kwasi Fabian. He believes that gaffer has done a good job at the club and should have taken his time in tending in his resignation letter.

Despite his take on the matter, he stated that the management should not be blamed for what has happened.
