Horoya AC defender Godfred Asante is confident his side will beat Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the first leg of the 2018 CAF Champions League quarter-final.
The Guinean giants host the eight-time winners of the competition on Friday in Conakry.
He will be playing in front of home fans for the first time since he joined the club.
Asante believes a win in Friday's game will give the Guinean champions an advantage going into the second leg of the tie in a week's time in Egypt.
"It is imperative for us to beat Al Ahly SC in the first leg to avoid any calculations," Asante told the club's website.
"I am in my second game of the CAF Champions League and this time in front of the home fans. We are not entitled to make mistakes at this stage.
"That's why we have to do everything to win the game at home, it will be very important for us.''
The former Asante Kotoko SC and Dreams FC defender further insisted he joined Horoya AC to win trophies and make history.
"I came to Horoya AC to help win trophies and honours. I am very motivated to play knowing the importance of the fixture."
