Q&A: Kwadwo Asamoah Reveals His Role My Role Model

After joining Inter Milan on a free transfer in the summer after six years at Juventus, Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says former Argentine legend, Javier Zanetti was his role model in football at a signing event at the Inter store in central Milan.

Due to his leadership qualities on the pitch and off the pitch, Zanetti is regarded as one of the best midfield players during hay days with the Nerazzuri.

Having spent nineteen years in the Blue and Black shirt, Zanetti hanged up his boots before taking up a role on the club's board.

And the former Udinese Calcio man has revealed that the 45-year-old was his football idol.

How did you feel in your debut at the Meazza?

'It was very exciting to go on the pitch at the San Siro as an Inter player, the fans are fantastic.'

How much desire do you have to play the Champions League with Inter?

'The desire is always there in all matches, playing the Champions League is beautiful, it takes you around the world.'

'I feel very good!'
