AshGold humiliated Rail Club du Kadiogo of Burkina Faso 3-0 in an international friendly match at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday 16th October 2005. AshGold opened the score line through a spot kick that was beautifully converted by “General” Emmanuel Osei Kuffour after Ouattara Abdratiane had handled the ball in the 18yard box in the 13th minute.

Kofi Deblah got injured in the 23rd minute and his position was taken over by Solomon Opoku whilst Joe Hendricks replaced Tony Baffoe. Dangerman Kone Seydou who exhibited great skills nearly cancelled the goal in the 45th minute after he had dummied two defenders of AshGold and fired a powerful bullet but Isaac Amoako made a timely save to the applause of the fans.

Ofosu Amoah who was assigned a new striking role by coach Evans Augustine Adotey received applause from the stands when he beat his marker and fired a shot but missed the post by inches.

AshGold effected changes in the second half bring on Alfred Arthur, Kwaku Wiafe, Ricky Essuman and Adamu Mohammed for Nasir Lamine, Kwaku Sarpong, Joseph Jackson and Kofi Amoako respectively.

Osei Kuffour scored the second goal in the 85th minute when Ofosu Amoah outran his marker and cleverly laid a beautiful pass for Kuffour to finish it.
