Eastern Regional Juvenile Soccer Association elects new officers

Koforidua, Oct. 16, GNA - The Eastern Regional Juvenile Soccer Association at the weekend elected a seven-member executive body under the Chairmanship of Mr Solomon Yamoah. Other members of the executive include Mr Ofori Abroakwaa, Vice-Chairman, Mr L. H. Nii Odoi, Secretary, Mr Abubakari Braimah, Assistant Secretary and Mr Misbahu Fuseini, Trustee. Mr J. K. Boateng was elected Organiser with Mr Samuel Ofori as the Public Relations Officer.

Mr Naglad Jordan, acting Chairman of the National Juvenile Soccer Association and representatives of the Eastern Regional Football Association supervised the election.

In a press release copied to the GNA Sports, the Regional Secretariat of the Association announced the commencement of registration of new players for the 2005/2006 juvenile soccer season. It said the registration of players would start on Tuesday, October 18th for colts clubs in the Asuogyaman, Yilo and Manya Krobo Districts at Manya Krobo Secondary School at 14.00.

For Juvenile clubs in the Kwaebibirim Distrct, the registration of new players comes off at Akwatia Walker Club at 14.00 on Thursday, October 20 while those from the Suhum-Kraboa-Coaltar District would register on Friday, October 21 at the Suhum Presbyterian School at 14.00.

The Juvenile clubs in the Kwahu area are scheduled to register on Saturday, October 22 at Nkawkaw Methodist Park at 8.00 while clubs in the East Akim area would have their turn on Sunday, October 23 at 8.00 at the New Tafo Feden School compound. Registration of clubs in the New Juaben Municipal Area would come off on Tuesday, October 25 at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.
