Chairman for the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo has disclosed that he is qualified to contest for the vacant Ghana Football Association (GFA) president position and he will contest when the time is right.

The Number 12 investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas has left the GFA on its knees and non-existing for the past couple of months. Government was on the brink on dissolving the association if not for the intervention of World Football Governing body FIFA.

The rot the Anas video exposed has led to Lawyer Kwasi Nyantakyi resigning from his post as the FA boss, thereby leaving the position vacant.

Kudjoe Fianoo who is a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashanti Gold in an interview on Nhyira FM this morning emphasized that he is over quailed for the vacant position but is not in a haste for the spot.

“I qualify so when the time is right I will contest”, Mr. Fianoo said.

He explained that during the previous administration, a lot of things went wrong and it is very necessary that when the time is right and the reforms is being done, things are done differently and in the right way.

“We gave the President a lot appointing powers including appointing his Vice and that was wrong, now we have to look through again and come up with something”.

He also adds that we should not dwell so much on personalities who will form the normalization committee to be named next week by FIFA and Government of Ghana.

He believes that what is important is the work that the normalization is coming to do.
