Nottingham Forest teenager of Ghanaian descent Arvin Appiah was on the scoresheet for England Under-18s as they toppled the Netherlands in their opening game of Limoges tournament in France.
Neil Dewsnip's Young Lions thumped their opponents 3-0 in a one-sided game.
And 17-year-old Appiah contributed to that tally as he added to his collection of caps for his country.
Next up for England is a meeting with Russia on Friday (2pm kick-off), followed by a clash with host nation France on Sunday (5pm).
Highly-rated Appiah was part of the Under-17s squad which reached the semi-finals of the European Championships last season - having put in a standout performance in a 2-1 victory over Italy.
