In form Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Anan has stated that winning against their sworn enemies yesterday has given the team and the fans happiness.
The goalie who was in post for the porcupine warriors yesterday revealed that winning over the Phobians on any day is very special.
Having beaten Hearts of Oak back-to-back in the space of one week, the goalie says the feeling is even more special for the Kumasi based club who are celebrating their 83rd birthday.
Felix Anan also observed that they go into every match they play with seriousness but when they beat their bitterest rivals, it is always special and more than just taking three points off them.
“Hearts and Kotoko games are special games,” he said in a post-match interview.
He further cited that their fans take these matches very seriously so when the win for them it gives them joy due to the fact that they also see a win as more than three points.
“Moreover, for the fans, it is more than three points”, he insisted.
Kotoko beat hearts of Oak two zero last week Sunday when they played the first leg of the Super 2 friendly. Just yesterday, they beat the Phobians by the same scoreline to inflict excruciating pain on the whole Hearts of Oak fraternity.
The two teams will face each other again later this year for the John Agyekum Kufuor Cup.
