John Boye Congratulates Teammates After Win Over RC Lens

Ghana defender John Boye has congratulated his FC Metz teammates following their 2-0 win over RC Lens in the French Ligue 2

FC Metz welcomed RC Lens to the Stade Municipal Saint-Symphorienon with the aim of claiming successive victories against their opponents in a space of five days, having beaten knocked them out of the French Cup on Tuesday.

Frederic Antonette's men, however, failed to hit the back of the net in the first period despite creating a plethora of chances.

But three minutes after the break, Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo shot them into the lead before Ibrahima Niane sealed the win in the 94th minute.

Boye was unable to help his team on the pitch, having picked an injury against the same opposition on Tuesday, but he took to his Instagram page to congratulate his teammates for the win.

The injury has forced Boye to withdraw from the Black Stars squad for Sunday's AFCON 2019 qualifier against Kenya.
