Owner of Tema Youth SC, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has cited that he does not have any problem with the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) decision to bring a normalization committee to run the affairs of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

FIFA after a crunch meeting with a Government delegation in Zurich yesterday communicated that they have settled on a number of ways to solve the current Ghana Football crisis.

One of such measures is to bring on board a normalization committee to steer the affairs of the FA. The move is likely to render the current Exco Committee members to be non-existing.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Palmer who is serving on the corruption tagged FA stated emphatically that is not bothered by the decision FIFA has taken.

He insists he wants to see football back and better so if this is the way FIFA wants to go about the process, he accepts it in good faith.

He, however, observes that there are a lot of loopholes in FIFA’s communique. According to him, FIFA only listened to the side of the Government without giving the GFA or Exco Members the opportunity to tell their side of the story.

This he believes is a breach of the law of Natural Justice. Nonetheless, he accepts the decision and there are other members who have also accepted the decision even though he does not know about all of the members.

He further stated that now that Government has agreed to withdraw the liquidation case from court, they are accordingly going to withdraw their case from the Supreme Court.

He says they only went to the Supreme Court because they could not sit down and allow their investments to go down the drain.

Palmer also opines that nobody should think they have achieved anything out of this. But rather we should all help in making football better in the country.

He additionally revealed that he will vie for a position if he is not charged with doing anything that goes against the laws of the country. He says he might push for a higher position in the GFA or even possible enter mainstream politics

“Unless I am found to have done something that goes against the laws of Ghana, I have every right to pursue any position at the GFA”.
