Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, Isaac Opeele Boateng, has descended heavily on FIFA for attempting to oppress Ghana.

The renowned trainer's comment emerges after FIFA on Monday wrote to the government of Ghana to withdraw the court action seeking to dissolve the Ghana Football Association by Monday, 27 August 2018 or face its wrath.

The letter signed and released by the General Secretary of FIFA, Fatma Samoura stated that Ghana will be banned from all football activities if the Attorney General does not withdraw the court petition against the country's football governing body.

The Attorney General of Ghana went to court to seek for the dissolution of the Ghana FA after the public premiering of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas video dubbed 'Number 12' which has collapsed the foundations of Ghana football.

Top Ghana Football Association officials including Kwesi Nyantakyi, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, Eddie Doku and over 80 match officials were caught on tape taking bribe.

However, an Accra High Court has appointed the Registrar of Companies as the official liquidator of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on July 12, 2018.

But coach Opeele hugely disagrees with FIFA's decision to threaten to ban Ghana if the country does halt the process of dissolving the Ghana Football Association.

‘‘FIFA cannot threaten the government of Ghana to do anything," he told Asempa FM.

“FIFA cannot Oppress Ghana. They have no right to give a sovereign country like Ghana an ultimatum.

“Ghanaians will not forgive the government if things are not put in place to ensure that we take part in the 2019 AFCON. This is the time for the government to give FIFA all the evidence they have gathered“, he said.

‘‘This is the time for Nana AKufo-Addo to prove to Ghanaians that he is incorruptible,’’ he added.

If the authorities fail to comply with this latest directive, Ghana would be handed a worldwide ban, meaning no club or national team can compete in international competitions.

The action will also prevent Ghana from hosting the Africa Women’s Championship which is scheduled to be held in the country from November.
