By LISTOWELL YESU BUKARSON.

Ghanaian soccer fans have been urged to stop asking questions about why and how the National U-17 team the Black Starlets did not achieve the ultimate in the Just ended World U-17 Youth Championships in Peru.

Rather they should look dispossionately at the preperations towards the Championships, which argueably was the worse in the history of any Starlets squad.

The Head coach of the team,David Duncan made these remarks in an exclusive interview with AUTHENTIC KAPITAL SPORTS today.According to him the training programmes of the team was so discouraging and disappointing so much that he believes the boys played their hearts out and thereby did their best.

"Even though the team did not go beyoung the group stages i believe this team played better than any Starlets team in Ghana, including those who won the gold in previous Championships",he sounded.

"I must make it clear that i did not beg for the job and will not beg for the job and therefore people will get to know the story behind the scenes of the team and the world will get to know the truth",he said,"this will surely happen after i have submitted my reports to those who sent me to Peru", Duncan added.

Asked what the reception was for the team when they arrived,Duncan said,"Nothing happened by way of any good reception, nobody showed us any gratitude for the job,but i am not surely worried""Ghanaians only expected victory and achievement of the ultimate but once we did not meet their expectations this is surely the reception we got",he said.

Coach Duncan said even though he did not have ample time to monitor the progress of the Black Stars once they were winning and have come this far,it meant that all was well with the team and therefore wished them well in their last world Cup match against Cape Verde in Praia on Saturday
