Black Satellites Coach Plans To Play Attacking Football Against Benin

Coach for the Black Satellites, Jimmy Cobblah has disclosed that the team will play attacking football when they face of their compatriot from Benin on Saturday.

The u20 Coach who is optimistic for a victory on the day, however, insist they attack whiles making sure they do not allow their opponent to get close to their penalty area.

In an interview yesterday, the coach was asked whether he will be going all out to attack his opponent and he responded;

“We are working on that to make sure that we attack. Yet still, we will make sure that we will close the midfield so that they will not get close to our penalty area”.

According to Jimmy Cobblah, it is a strategy they have worked on and it has worked for them so far and. They are happy about it going into the game against Benin and that is how they are going to play, in an attacking but cautious way.

He explained that there is always room for improvement so he can never be totally okay with the performance of the players. As a result, he has together with the technical staff have jotted a few things down which they are going to work on to improve the team before the crucial encounter

“We believe that come Saturday it will go well for us”, he confidently said.

In preparation for the crucial match on Saturday, the team played two friendly matches yesterday at the Cape Coast Stadium. First, they beat Global FC by four goals to nil. Stephen Amankona and Ibrahim Kudos both scored a brace to secure the first victory. scored a brace as Ibrahim Kudos also getting a brace to complete the whipping exercise

In the second game, the Satellites beat Young Red Bulls by four goals to zero. Richard Danso, Randy Kuma, Basit Abdul Rahman all scored goals before Stephen Amankona who had previously scored a brace in the first match completed the whipping exercise with his third goal of the day in two matches.

The match on Saturday against Benin u20 team is the first leg of the final qualifying match for the U-20 AFCON.

The match was originally slated to be played on July 13 but had to be rescheduled because of an injunction on football in the country following the airing of an Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece.
