Supporters of visiting Kumasi King Faisal left the Tema Sports Stadium disappointed as Power FC beat their idol club 2-0 in their GT Premier League match on Wednesday.

Determined to win their first premiership this year, King Faisal however played as if there was nothing at stake and gave Power the first goal in the 33rd minute when their defender, Iddrisu Yahaya in a bid to save a dangerous situation, kicked the ball into his own net. Gingered by surprising goal the attackers of Power from then on piled up pressure on their opponents but failed to increase the tally till the end of the first half.

On resumption of the second half, King Faisal threw everything into the game in a bid to redeem their image but they were not giving any breathing space when Power's substitute, Joel Adjei scored the second goal for Power in the 85th minute. Power's goal poacher, Mark Adu Amofa was shown the red card in the 88th minute for using his hand to clear a ball. 28 Sept 05
