Ghana midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed there was a chance to stay at Juventus but the directors and the coach convinced him to move to Inter Milan.

The 29-year-old joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer and signed a three-year deal after ending his six-year with Juventus.

“I feel at home, I’m happy to be here,” Asamoah told the press.

“There was the chance to remain there [at Juve], but I chose this shirt along with my family. I’m happy to have this new experience and do important things.

“My decision to leave Juventus was difficult but the directors and the Coach [Luciano Spalletti] convinced me.

“I’m convinced by what the team is doing, and I think for my career I can improve here.

“I know the rivalry between Juventus and Inter, but I chose this shirt, it doesn’t bother me. I'm here to do my best.”

Asamoah will face the Bianconeri in the coming season, and Cristiano Ronaldo may well be lining up on the other side.

“I’m not even thinking about it, I'm here to play, work and help my team. I’m not thinking about playing against any player or any team.

“To do well you can’t just think about a player or an opponent, you have to consider everyone.”
