League Leaders Medeama SC has received praises from a renowned local scout, Coach Ebenezer Sefa for their impressive performance in the first round of the league.
Coach Sefa who has been following the league keenly commended the Tarkwa based side for their exploits leading to the team rising to the top of the table. After playing fourteen (14) matches in the first round of the ongoing campaign, Medeama has been able to record eight wins, three draws and three losses.
During that impressive run, the Yellow and Mauves played seven home matches and won all. Brushing aside teams like Ashanti Gold, newcomers Dreams Fc, revived Inter Allies under Kenichi Yatsuhashi, as well as defending league champions Aduana Stars.
Coach Ebenezer Sefa speaking to Class sports emphasized that he is not surprised Medeama is on top on the league because he has seen how well the team has played this season from the game that he has watched them play.
“For me am not surprised but I think they deserve an applause because they have done well”, he said.
He also believes the Medeama team is made up of good players assembled by the technical team of the club.
“They have the best midfield in the league. You talk of Akwasi Donsu, Theophilus Nyame, Daniel Kwakwa, and Justice Blay, these are guys that on any day can destroy any team”.
In addition, he praised the coach for the side, Samuel Boadu for how has he led the team to play such fine football.
