Former Youth and Sports Minister, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye says he is anxiously waiting for premiering of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest exposé dubbed "Number 12".

Under auspices of the Member of Parliament for the people of Odododiodio constituency as the Sports Minister, the Ghana Football Association never had a smooth relationship with the former GBC worker.

And according to him, it was his intention to investigate issues of Ghana football when he was in charge of youth and sports but was limited by the change of government.

“The whole thing is about something that the Lord put on my heart when I was the minister,” he told TV3.

“I intended to do unfortunately the change of government did not permit me to do it.

“And I know God would want those issues to come to the fore so that I will be vindicated,” he stated.

“I have great expectations; I hope to be in the queue by 1 O’clock.

“So, it is my prayer that the film will touch on the same issues," he added.

The latest piece of the ace investigative journalist which is centred on football and politics has been scheduled to be premiered at the Accra International Conference Centre on June 6 and 7.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest piece exposes corruption in Ghana football, fingering top officials including the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Mr Nyantakyi has been charged with defrauding with false pretense after president Nana Akufo Addo watched excerpts of the video.

The exposé has since stirred fear and panic among top government officials and various stakeholders in the sports fraternity but the former sports minister is positive that his suspicions back then will be proven right when the expose is finally premiered.
