The Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League match between Dreams FC and Ebusua Dwarfs has ended one all, with neither of the sides failing to end the first round of the league with a win.
Impressive Dreams FC would have loved to play the game at their home grounds, Dawu Park where they have been formidable throughout the campaign but due to Television coverage, they had to play the game in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
As early as the 10th minute, Dreams FC took the lead through Leonard Owusu when his effort found the back of the net. Dwarfs had to wait till the later part of the first half before drawing level courtesy Michael Asamoah.
Dreams FC pushed for a goal to ensure they run home with all three points but could not find the back of the net despite creating a lot of chances and coming very close to scoring. Dwarfs, on the other hand, had their fair share of opportunities to bury the game but failed to do so due to selfishness from their forwards.
The draw sees Dreams stay in the top four on 3rd position whiles Dwarfs continue their struggle in the relegation Zone on 15th position. Being the last match of the first round, Dwarfs will now have to go back to the drawing board and come back strong and improved in the second half to try and get out of the red zone.
After playing a total of fifteen matches, the Dawu based club managed to record seven wins, three draws and five losses. Dwarfs will have one outstanding match to clear after all match week fifteen matches are cleared. Having played fourteen matches, Dwarfs only managed to win three matches, drawing five and losing six.
