Ghana international Richard Boateng has reiterated he would love to join Real Oviedo describing the club as a historic club.

The UD Melilla midfielder has emerged as a target of Rewal Oviedo, who want to sign the attacking midfielder after a spectacular season with the Segunda B side. Boateng, younger brother of former Black Stars midfielder Derek Boateng- scored 14 goals in 31 appearances.

The 25-year old's sumptuous strike against Jumilla won the goal of the season in the Segunda B.

"I would like to go to Oviedo because it is a big and historic club, I think I would be happy there," said the player last night in a telephone conversation with LA NUEVA ESPAÃ'A.

At the moment the Ghanaian player is busy with family issues and with several acts related to his current club and leaves his future to his representative, who will send him in the coming days several "interesting" offers, including Oviedo.

"Next week I will talk to my representative," says Boateng, who defines Oviedo's interest as very "striking". "If they offer it to me the truth that I would like," he insists.

The former Liberty Professionals midfielder previously played for Granada B, Extramadura and San Roque.
