MAY 29, 2018 LISTEN

Popular Sports Journalist, Dan Kweku Yeboah has descended heavily on Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

This comes after the vociferous politician in an interview with Accra based Net 2 TV accused Anas Aremeyaw Anas of setting up President of Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi in his latest exposé.

The CAF 1st vice president and the FIFA Council Member have been caught on camera using the name of the president to solicit monies from investors after Nana Addo watched excerpts of the yet to be premiered video.

The renowned investigative journalist is on the verge of airing his latest piece titled “Number 12” which is centred on football and politics on June 6 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

According to Hon. Kennedy, he will expose Anas if dares air his latest piece, but the award-winning sports broadcaster insists the tough-talking politician is making a bogus argument.

“I don’t understand why our football keeps on deteriorating and our leaders are quiet about it.

“Anas was able to expose the judges and no politician complained about that, but I am very surprised that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Kwame Baffoe [Abronye DC] are insisting that Anas video must not be shown.

“He [Anas] used the same principles on his latest work so why are they barking now? They were all in this country but none of them complained and those judges have been suspended.

“Kennedy Agyapong made the whole country realize that Alfred Agbesi Woyome has taken money from the coffers of the country unlawfully and we all welcomed it.

“So, my question is, why are they now crusading that Anas video must not be shown?” he quizzed.

“What I know is that president Nana Akufo Addo is not corrupt, so I am telling his ministers to be careful because some of us believe in him, so they shouldn’t try to let him down.

Mr Agyapong further reiterated that, if Anas is not stopped, he may end up invading the privacy of people and filming from their bedrooms but Kweku Yeboah insists the country is ready t welcome that works from Anas.

“If you are not corrupt, there is no way you fall for Anas bait. If Hon. Ken is saying that Anas will one day come into our bedroom and expose us, let him [Anas] do that and we will watch that exposé and if he is saying that he will expose Anas, he should bring that up because we are ready to watch that video.

“The Black Stars are playing Japan on Wednesday and Iceland in an international friendly and nobody is talking about it. We are tired of these politicians. They should let us be because nothing will stop Anas from showing that video.

“Hon. Kennedy Agyapong must know that we need reforms in our football. He should stop covering up people and daring Anas because we know the good work he [Anas] have been doing for this country,” he added.
