Communications Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo says the Zylofon Cash Sponsorship of the Ghana Premier League is good news for the top flight league.
The Ghana Premier League has been without a headline sponsor in the last three seasons after Capital Plus pulled out in 2015.
Zylofon Media Group owner by Nana Appiah Mensah and the Ghana Football Association signed a $10 million sponsorship deal for five years as headline sponsors of the domestic league on Thursday at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
Opare Addo, who speaks for Accra Hearts of Oak insists it is good news for the clubs.
"I think it's good for the Ghana Premier League because if you already have some means of generating revenues to run the club and this sponsorship add to that. I think it's good news for the Premier League and we are all happy with it," he told Zylofon FM.
The Ghana Premier League will now be known as the Zylofon Cash Premier League for the next five years.
The winner of the 2018 Ghana Premier League will pocket $40,000.
