Accra, Sept 3, GNA - The National Democratic Congress on Saturday pledged its support to the Nation's Black Stars who would play the Cranes of Uganda in a World Cup decider at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, Sept. 4 2005.
This was contained in a statement issued in Accra in which the pasty also wished the team the best of luck and expressed its belief that the Stars will make Ghana proud with a convincing win over their opponents. The NDC also called on Ghanaians, irrespective of their sporting, political or religious backgrounds to rally behind the Black Stars and cheer them to victory on Sunday, adding, "we are with you."
