Ghanaian winger Gilbert Koomson was the star man on Sunday as SC Bran thrashed Tromso 3-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Norwegian League.

The Ghanaian was at the heart of everything offence for his side as he opened up the Tromso defence for the opener, which was turned into an own goal by defender Simen Wanberg.

Koomson created the second after sending in a cross with was coolly slotted in by Steffen Lie Skalevelik on 34 minutes. He then turned provider again after his long run on the right flank saw a Tromso defender lunge onto him but his effort was met by the Steffen he sealed victory after dummying the goalkeeper to roll the ball in.

The former Songdal forward thanked the fans for showing up in numbers and remains confident they can win the Elisterin League despite more games to be played.

"I want to thank our fans," Koomson told BA in the pressure zone after the match.

"Although there are so many games left that we will not talk too much about gold, they will only keep believing in us. And support us as they did here. Because this mood was really enormous," he added.

Gilbert Koomson went on to praise his teammates and Coaches for their scintillating start to the season and hopes the Reds continue in the vein of form.

We had not got anything unless the coach had put the right tactic and our medications had kept us healthy. Everyone has to do the job and everyone has to work hard.
