The first match of the seven games that was played on match week twelve ended goalless. It was the game between Elmina Sharks and Ashanti Gold which was played on Saturday at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina. It was the first time Ashanti Gold has failed to find the back of the net in their last five matches played.

The Game between Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak had to be postponed due to Aduana’s involvement in continental competition on Sunday.

The Dormaa based club travelled to Abidjan to play ASEC Mimosas for their first match in the CAF Confederations Cup Group Stage with the Fire Boys losing by a goal to nil.

On Sunday, Eleven wonders beat their opponents Ebusua Dwarfs by two goals to nothing at home. S. Fatau and veteran Alex Asamoah both scored to help the team pick the maximum three points.

Ending a streak of two consecutive losses, Wonders are now 11th on the league log whiles struggling Ebusua Dwarfs remain in the relegation zone.

Inter Allies added to their 100% home record by seeing off their opponents, Berekum Chelsea in a tough game that added one zero in favour of the home team.

It was no surprise that in form Victorien Adebayor was the player who found the back of the net on the 78th minute to secure all three points for Kenichi’s men.

Elsewhere at the Carl Reindorf Park, Liberty Professionals came up against League debutants Karela United in a fiercely contested game that produced just one goal.

Liberty grabbed all three points as they beat the visitors by one goal to nil courtesy A Acheampong’s goal. The win ended Liberty’s five matches unbeaten run.

At the Tarkwa T%A park, Medeama SC found the back of the net twice to see off high flying Dreams FC. Impressive Akwasi Donsu scored on the 66th minute before Emmanuel Kwakwa added the insurance goal on the 86th minute.

Despite the defeat, Dreams Fc remain in the top for whereas Medeama sits 2nd on the log with two outstanding matches.

Wa All Stars travelled to far away Sogakope to play West African Football Academy hoping to get an all-important win to end their six matches unbeaten run. Unfortunately, the game ended one all with both teams sharing the spoils.

Omar Bashiru scored in the first half to give WAFA the lead going to halftime but his goal was cancelled just ten minutes into the second half of the game. Starman David Abagna equalized to get the point for the former Ghana Premier League Champions.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended their poor run of two straight losses to pick up three important points as they beat Bechem United by one goal to nothing.

It was the last game played on Sunday under floodlights at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Emmanuel Gyamfi scored that vital goal to give the porcupine warriors something to cheer about.

In all the seven fixtures recorded just 9 goals. Five away wins all going in favour of teams that played at home and two draws.
