Kwame Sefa Kayi, Host of Peace FM’s flagship programme Kokrokoo, has taken swipe at the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi insisting he is behaving like former CAF president, Issa Hayatou.

On Tuesday, Vice president of the Ghana FA, George Afriyie was relieved off his position after a meeting held by the Executive Committee at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

After assuming office in December 2005, the CAF 1st president has repeatedly confirmed that he will not seek for re-election when his term in office ends in 2019.

However, George Afriyie declared his intention to contest for the Ghana FA post in 2019 during the celebration of his 50th birthday last month.

After his declaration, some Executive Members of the Ghana Football Association dragged the Liberty Professionals director to the gutters describing him as a traitor.

Osei Kweku Palmer, who is now the Black Stars Management Committee Chairman and Western Regional RFA Chairman, Kojo Yankah openly said they will force Kwesi Nyantakyi to seek for a 5th term in office despite confirming he will not seek for re-election in 2019.

It is unclear what led to George Afriyie's dismissal but multiple reports have emerged Kwesi Nyantakyi will seek for re-election but the ace broadcaster has called on the Wa All Stars bankroller not to seek for re-election describing his behaviour as Issa Hayatou.

"Kwesi Nyantakyi is my man but I think it is about time he moves on," he said.

"Practically, there is no difference between him and former CAF president, Issa Hayatou.

"Kwesi Nyantakyi fired Fred Crentsil, Fred Pappoe, Randy Abbey and now George Afriyie. He [Kwesi Nyantakyi] is creating enemies for himself but personally, Kwesi Nyantakyi has to go.

"He personally said he will not seek for re-election and your vice declares his intention to contest and he now becomes your enemy?".

"I have backed Kwesi Nyantakyi for his good works but with this decision, he had it wrong," he added.

Kurt Okraku, Kudjoe Fianoo, Osei Kweku Palmer, Nana Yaw Amponsah have also expressed their interest in occupying the Ghana FA top post.
