E/R Division II soccer league enters second week

Koforidua, August 26, GNA - The Eastern Regional Division Two Soccer League enters its second week on Sunday, August 28, with Mantwi Academy welcoming Mountain Rangers to Abiriw in a Zone One encounter. Highlanders will clash with Trax F/C at Aburi, Islamic Stars will welcome Asuogyaman United at Somanya while Real Kpong United meet Liverpool F/C at Kpong.

In the last week matches, Trax F/C drew 1-1 with Mantwi Academy, the Mountain Rangers and Highlanders match ended in a goalless draw while Liverpool F/C lost one nil to Islamic Stars with Asuogyaman United beating Real Kpong United 3-1.

In Zone Two, Ewiebi F/C who held Koftown Academy to a one all drawn game at Koforidua would welcome Kaiser F/C who lost 0-2 at their home grounds to Asana Kings last week to Larteh on Sunday.

Asana Kings clash with Koftown Academy at Kukurantumi, Planet F/C who lost 0-2 in an away encounter against Fanteakwa United last week, would welcome Golden Pods F/C who were held to 2-2 draw by Ablaze F/C to their home grounds at Koforidua while Ablaze play Fanteakwa United at Hemang.

At Kibi, Fern Stars meet Royal Kendis in a Zone Three encounter while Suhum United meet Esberg Academy at Suhum and Road Bancs play Royal Knights at Adoagyiri.

In the other matches played last Sunday, Esberg Academy beat Fern Stars 2-0 and Royal Knights also beat Reigners 2-0, the match between Royal Kendis and Suhum United was called off. Great Asene United meet Manchester United in the second week encounter of Zone Four at Asene, Evergreens play Frankfurt Academy at Asamankese, Fenhac Academy meet Dons F/C at Akim Oda and Deelorm Academy meet Mighty Eleven at Akwatia.

In matches played last week, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Evergreens while Mighty Eleven also drew 2-2 with Fenhac Academy. The matches between Frankfurt Academy and Great Asene United and the one between Dons F/C and Deelorm Academy could not come on due to technical problems.

In Zone Five, Abuakwa Stars meet Kwahu Mountains at Pramkese, Peace F/C meet Pam Fire Stars at Kwahu Tafo while Kwahu Rangers meet Golden Stars at Nkawkaw.

In matches played last weekend, Inter Conts drew 1-1 with Abuakwa Stars at Jejeti and Golden Stars held Peace F/C to a goalless draw. The match between Kwahu Mountains and Kwaebibirem Stars could not come off because Kwaebibirem announced they were pulling out of the League while the match between Pam Fire Stars and Kwahu Rangers was called off on technical grounds.
