Ghana’s only bronze medalist at the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia, Jesse Lartey has disclosed his desire to be in the Black Bombers team for the 2020 Olympic Games to held in Japan.

Jesse Lartey, a Prisons Officer who was the lone medalist at the 21stCommonwealth Games said he wants to represent his country once more at the greatest sports festival before deciding to turn professional.

His dad, Lartekwei Lartey, the second assistant coach of the Ghana national team, the Black Bombers said in a radio interview at Uniq FM, that most Ghanaians are ungrateful, and it is about time that people appreciate good things.

He expressed that his son has made the Lartey family very famous and he is very proud of Jesse because he was nearly dropped from the Ghana team.

Lartekwei Lartey has the passion for training juvenile boxers and has coached many fine boxers.

He is the managing coach at the Fit Square Gym that has also contributed to the development of boxing in Ghana.
