Saturday and Sunday matches for match week nine of the ongoing Ghana Premier League has produced some interesting results.

Only one match was played yesterday. It was the game between Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies where the league leagues won by one goal to nil to ensure they stay top of the league. The miner’s goal was scored by Roland Amouzou.

Struggling Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed to win convincingly away from home when they beat Wa All Stars by two goals to nothing. This is their second win in their last five matches after failing to get three maximum points in their last two games. Goals from Amos Frimpong and Frederick Boateng ensured their porcupine warriors grabbed the three vital points.

Elsewhere at the Nana Ameyaw Park, Alex Asamoah produced a man of the match performance to help secure three points for Techiman Eleven Wonders when they hosted Medeama sporting club. They beat Medeama by a lone goal courtesy Alex Asamoah.

Hearts of Oak faced off with Bechem United looking to bounce back after losing two matches in a row but were unable to get a win as they drew one all with their opponents. Hafiz Konkoni put Bechem United ahead before Patrick Razak equalized to get a point for the Phobians.

At the Cape Coast, the match between Ebusua Dwarfs and West African Football Academy (WAFA) produced a five goals thriller as Dwarfs were beaten three two by the away team. Goals from Solomon Okudzeto and Osman Mohammed for Ebusua Dwarfs were not enough to cancel out goals from Richard Danso, Charles Boateng and Justice Amate for WAFA.

Elmina sharks managed to get a point in their away match versus newcomers Karela United when they at the Anyinase Cam Park. The game ended goalless.

Berekum Chelsea played away from home at the Cape Coast Stadium in their match week nine fixture against Liberty. The game, unfortunately, could not see 90 minutes as the game had to be abandoned because of heavy rains at Cape coast.

Dreams FC will be playing host to Aduana stars tomorrow at the Dawu Park to round up match week nine fixtures.
