MATCH REPORT: Karela Disciplines Hearts

League Report MATCH REPORT: Karela Disciplines Hearts
APR 18, 2018 LISTEN

Karela United has this afternoon added salt to the wounds of Accra Hearts of Oak as they beat the Phobians by three goals to one. The game which was played at the home grounds of the Karela united, Anyinase Cam Park, saw a four-goal thriller with Karela coming out of that game on top.

Hearts of Oak were looking to bounce back from their weekend lose against Elmina Sharks but could not overcome a determined Karela side who are unbeaten in their last three games.

The Phobians played without their coach Henry Wellington who could not be on the touchline today due to some health issues.

The newcomers were down by a goal at halftime courtesy a Daniel Kodie strike. It took a William Mensah hat-trick in the second half to down to turn the fortunes of the home around and worsen the problems of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak have now moved from the top four and now find themselves 9th on the league table.

Hearts have now only been able to accumulate ten points from eight games showing how poor the Accra based club has been this season.

The question we ask now is what next for Accra Hearts of oak?

Is their problem managerial or the playing body?
Hearts of oak will need to up their game and find solutions to their problems quickly before it is too late for them.
