Emmanuel Boateng replaced experienced Italian striker Giampaolo Pazzini on the 60th-minute mark.
The former Morierense FC marksman wasted no time in announcing his presence after capitalizing on some poor defending by the visitors to score just four minutes after his introduction, which proved to be the winner for Paco Lopez's side.
Despite the win, Levante maintains their 17th position with 27 points after 29 games.
