Sacked Asante Kotoko Coach Steve Pollack Head To Court

Football News Sacked Asante Kotoko Coach Steve Pollack Head To Court
FEB 28, 2018 LISTEN

Former coach of Asante Kotoko, Steve Pollack is heading to court to contest his wrongful dismissal and has launched a stinging attack on the Dr Kwame Kyei management.

The former Berekum Chelsea trainer was shown the exit door last week Friday after failing to qualify the team to next round 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors lost 6:7 on penalties against CARA in the second league in Congo.

The reason for his sack remains unknown but there are suggestions the Birmingham-born paid for his off-the-pitch behaviour.

Pollack is said to have told an unnamed source: ''They say coaches are fired to be fired, but I don't understand why they sacked me. I am European, not an African, to just take the money (US$ 16,000 compensation) and say bye bye and walk away

''My lawyers have told me that I should relax and that they will go all the way to find a solution to this issue and until that is done I am not leaving here.

''How long has this management been in office? They have already changed four coaches, but nobody is questioning that. The problem is not with the technical direction of the club; it is management. ''
