OFFICIAL... Hearts of Oak Terminate Frank Nuttal Contract

League Report OFFICIAL... Hearts of Oak Terminate Frank Nuttal Contract
FEB 22, 2018 LISTEN

Hearts of Oak have officially parted ways with head coach Frank Nuttall after just a year in charge of the club.

The former Zamalek trainer was suspended indefinitely last week for ‘’unsporting and unethical behaviour’’ with a three-member committee instituted to investigate his dealings.

The committee after their findings established that the Scottish trainer is behind the player's refusal to extend their contract with the club and ''aiding and introducing players of the club to agents'' on the blind side of the Oaktree team.

Henry Wellington who was the assistant to the Scottish trainer has been placed to act as the interim coach.

Nuttall penned down a two-year deal to become manager of Hearts of Oak last year.

In his debut season, he finished in the top four and guided the Phobians to their first FA Cup final in over a decade but they missed winning the FA Cup to the bitterest rival Asante Kotoko.

Ahead of the 2017/18, he also led the team to the finals of the 2018 GHALCA G8 tournament finals but lost the trophy to Dreams FC.

Hearts of Oak have sacked six coaches in the past six years.
