Tema, Aug. 8, GNA - After almost two months of being in the dark, the Tema Country Golf Club bounces back with lots of action, beginning this Saturday.
The club would host some 100 golfers in its monthly medal competition, which is a prelude to the prestigious "Tema Mobitel Open" scheduled to kick-start from August 26 through to the 28th. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club told the Mr Kofi Gyau, captain, would assist Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the club to present prizes to the winners. Nana Owusu Afari will be defending the trophy he won last month. Other crack golfers expected to wrestle the crown from Owusu Afari include Martin Adjei, Alex Fiagomey, Nana Antwi Biosiako, Niccolo Catto and the president Owusu-Adjapong.
Ghana's pin-up lady golfer Mona Captan, Etwi Barimah and Mrs Owusu-Adjapong are some of the people to watch out in the female event. Golfers would use the monthly medal competitions to sharpen up their strokes for the Mobitel event.
