Black Maidens captain, Mukarama Abdulai has emerged as the top scorer at the end of Africa’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Northen Ladies forward scored 12 goals in Ghana’s journey to qualify for another World Cup that will be held in France later this year.

The 16-year old striker scored five goals against Gambia in the two legged-tie before scoring four goals in the first leg match against Djibouti a fortnight ago.

Mukarama, who was the second highest scorer in the National Women’s League last season got a hat-trick in Ghana’s 10-0 demolishing of Djibouti in the reverse fixture to increase her tally to 12 in four matches.

Cameroon’s Marie Ngah was the second highest scorer in the qualifying campaign with five goals.
