Can Ada Ladies stop rampaging Ghatel Ladies?

Accra, Aug 4, GNA - When the Greater Accra Women Soccer Committee (GAWSOC) league enters its third round this weekend, lovers of the women's game would be watching with rapt interest on how Ada Ladies can put the breaks on rampaging Ghatel Ladies.

Ghatel, obviously the most experienced team in the league has amassed six points in all two games played so far and look favoured against their opponents who have laboured to find their feet in the three-week old league.

With players like Florence Akoe, Sheila Okine, Adjoa Bayor, Mavis Danso, Memuna Darko in their elements, connoisseurs believe the ladies from Ada, would have to play above themselves to escape humiliation when both sides cross swords at the Kesse School Park.

The battle billed for the Roman Ridge Bolster Park, between Sunsport Ladies and Dansoman Ladies looks like an even one. Though Dansoman Ladies, won their last game 4-1, Sunsport has exhibited some consistency in their play since the commencement of the season and could present similar challenge.

At the Odorgonno Park at Awoshie, where Faith Ladies clash with Rot Weiss Ladies, the later look favoured if their performance in their last game is anything to go by. Post Ladies plays Meridian Ladies at the Tema New Town S.D.A Park with Starlets Ladies sorting things out with Tesana ladies. Atlanta Ladies meets Nungua Ladies at the Ashaiman Roman Park whilst Port Ladies play host to La Ladies. 04 August 05
