Ghanaian international, Michael Essien will be named as the ambassador for Indonesian Club Persib at the end of the season.
The former Chelsea FC midfielder penned down a one-year contract extension with the Indonesian club last season but will be appointed as the club's global ambassador.
After spells with Bastia, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Panathinaikos, the midfielder decided to move to Asia where he signed for Persib.
The club will be counting on the energetic midfielder to raise the image of the high around the globe.
