Tema, July 30, GNA-Nana Owusu-Afari returned 67 net to win this month's Tema Country Golf Club Medal Championship played at Tema on Saturday. Alex Fiagomey came second with 70 net, while E.T. Mensah placed third with 73 net, beating William Yeboah on count-back. Valentina Manteaw won the Ladies event with 70 net, Joy Arkutu came second with 72 net while Esther Bhavnani placed third with 73 net.
About 100 golfers from Achimota, Tema, Bok Nam Kim and Celebrity golf clubs took part in the one-day 18-Hole stable-ford competition, which was sponsored by the Tema Country Golf Club. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Country Golf Club, who presented prizes to the winners, called on the members to take active interest in the activities of the club. He announced that the next Medal competition would be played on Saturday, August 13.
