Accra, July 28, GNA - The Greater Accra Women Soccer (GAWSOC) League enters its second week this weekend with some exciting fixtures at all the seven centres.

Ghatel Ladies are favoured in their tie against lowly placed Meridian Ladies at the Mamprobi Park on Saturday. Ghatel, by far the most experienced side in the League are expected to parade their enviable squad which may include Sheila Okine, Adjoa Bayor, Mavis Danso and Florence Okoe - all influential players of the national women's team, the Black Queens.

With ex-national coach, Mike Akpe directing affairs from the bench of the heavyweights of the women's game, pundits believe the Tema-based Meridian team will have every good reason to play above themselves to avoid a possible humiliation.

The clash of the "P's" at the Bubuashie Park would see Post Ladies engage Port Ladies. The former, a cracked side that won many clashes on the wings of the national number one goalie, Maimunatu Sulemana are favourites in the duel. Badly bruised Post Ladies who surprisingly bowed 0-1 to Faith Ladies in their opener will obviously have to brace themselves up if they are to record their first win.

At the Boston Park at Roman Ridge, SunSport Ladies who humiliated Ada Ladies 3-0 last week will be under little pressure to glitter when they cross swords with Tesano Ladies. La Ladies will play host to Bubuashie Starlet Ladies at the La Salem Park whilst Rot Weiss Ladies clash with Nungua Ladies to wrap up the fixtures for Saturday.

Dansoman Ladies and the Great Mawuena Ladies would play Ada and Faith Ladies at the Karikari Brobbey and Town Council Line Parks respectively on Sunday.
