Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide has reiterated that the 2014 Dzamefe Commission Report is still in government plans to make sure the recommendations are being implemented.

When quizzed by popular sports journalist, Patrick Osei-Agyemang during an interaction with the media at the Flagstaff House on Wednesday if he [the president] is interested in implementing the Dzamefe Commission Report, the president said, “On these matters, the truth is usually the best answer. To be honest, I’ve forgotten about the 2014 White Paper but I have no doubt my Minister of Sports is fully up to it and will advise, in due course, what should be the reaction of me and the government to it, but it has not been something that is very much on my radar.”

The 2014 Dzamefe Commission of Enquiry was instituted after the country's shambolic performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil to enquire what led to the early exit from the Mundial.

After four years, the recommendations made by the commissioners are yet to be implemented but the Member of Parliament for the people of Ketu North constituency says the Dzamefe Commission Report is still in the plans of the government and they will make sure the recommendations are being implemented.

“We are on top of issues and we are very much aware of the Dzamafe report on the 2014 World Cup fiasco”, he told Asempa Sports.

“There are several aspects of the commission's reports that we have taken very seriously, but some aspects of the reports are under litigations, so we need to respect the court and wait for the outcome “, he added.
