Tema, July 27, GNA - The Tema Country Golf Club July Medal Championship tees off at Tema on Saturday, July 30. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club who announced this at Tema on Wednesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition opened to amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs was being sponsored by the Tema Golf Club. He said about 100 golfers were expected to participate in the competition, which would be played under the rules of the World's Golf Governing body and the local rules of the Tema Golf Club.
Mr Adablanu named some of the golfers expected to participate in the competition as Alex Fiagomey, immediate past captain, John Cobbina, Kofi Gyau, Anthony Ashiagbor and Emmanuel Henaku, all of Tema, while John Sam, Kwame Saarah-Mensah, Samuel Adetola and Yaw Asah-Sam would feature for Achimota.
Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, Majority Leader in Parliament and Minster for Parliamentary Affairs, who is also the President of the Tema Golf Club, will be the Special Guest of Honour.
