GN Bank will become the new sponsor for the women's league in the country, the director of Groupe Nduom has announced.
Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, a politician and businessman, disclosed this when he delivered a speech at the inaugural Congress of the Ghana Football Coaches Association.
Previously, the indigenous bank sponsored the Division One League for three years but decided not to renew its deal at the end of the just ended season.
It looks like GN Bank will be the headline sponsor for the ladies game next season.
''Our idea was that we were going to take up the sponsorship of the women's league,'' Nduom said.
''I love women's sports and all through my life I have been helped greatly by women.
''We realise there was virtually no support for the women's game and therefore our decision.''
