Golf MTN Official Lauds The Quality Of MTN CEO Invitational Golf Championships

Mr Samuel Koranteng, Senior Manager, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs of MTN Ghana, has said, the high profile nature of MTN Golf Tournaments has resulted in the participation of quality golfers in the event.

'We control the golf space in Ghana that is why our events have over the years attracted the best golfers across the country.

'This is due to the high level of organization and the attractive prizes at stake in our events,' he stated.

In a post-event interview, Mr Koranteng commended the participants and winners of the final event of the MTN CEO Invitational Golf Championship, which took place at the Celebrity Club at Sakumono.

Mr Koranteng said golf makes one healthy and it is an exercise for networking and promised that the 2018 events would be better.

He stated that 2017 has been an extraordinary and an eventful year for MTN and the MTN Foundation, which is in its tenth year and has implemented 142 projects with a total investment of $13million.

'The world is moving to a point where without solid internet connectivity, the individual or business will be highly disadvantaged. As MTN remains committed to support you, we wish to inform you that MTN recently launched Fiber to Home Product and brings the concept of an internet of things (IoTs) literally to your doorstep,' he explained.

He said MTN Ghana has introduced some end to end business solutions such as Converged Communications, MTN Cloud service, leased lines, APNs and video Surveillance and urged Ghanaians to take advantage of the services.

Geoffrey Avornyotse and Vivian Dick were the proud winners of the Men's and Ladies Group A respectively of the 2017 MTN CEO's Invitational Tournament.

Rising female star, Vivian Dick from the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi won the Ladies Group A with a total score of 35 points.

She received a trophy and an iPad as well as free fibre broadband for three months.

Mrs Owusu-Adjapong placed second with 34 points and Mona Myers-Lamptey was third on 32 points.
