St. Mirren returns to winning ways

Accra, July 18, GNA - St. Mirren, Mamprobi based Division One Football Club last Sunday returned to their winning ways when they thrashed Juapong Juantex 3-1 at Juapong in their fourth week Division One League match.

Mirren took the lead in the 18th minute through Joshua Nai who headed home Farouk Annor's float with Abdul Braimah finishing off Nai's corner kick in the 27th minute to end the first half. On resumption of the second half, Mirren maintained their dominance over the home team and succeeded in scoring their third goal through Nai again who latched onto a pass in the 53rd minute to score his second goal of the day.

Juantex pulled one goal back in the last quarter of the second half, however Nai scored the fourth goal before regulation time but the effort was disallowed by referee Joshua Mensah to end the proceedings. 18 July 05
