Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah believes the Egyptian national team is over-relying on star player Mohammed Salah and have urged them to get rid of that before the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off.

The seven-time African Champions have been drawn in Group A in the 2018 FIFA World Cup alongside host nation Russia, Saudi Arabia and South American powerhouse, Uruguay.

The Pharaohs’ have undoubtedly relied on Mohammed Salah throughout their qualification matches.

Salah scored 5 goals out of the 8 matches played throughout the qualification matches but Kwesi Appiah believes the over-dependence on Salah will make other teams figure out their weakness.

“We played Egypt but as I said all the time all their attacking machinery is dependent on one player.

“This is not the best because once he is closed down then this becomes a problem.

“If they can work on some stuff and get two or three players that are playing at the highest level then automatically team’s won't plan only against Salah but for others as well,” he told Kwese Sports in an interview.
