Teshie/Nungua Supporters of Kotoko hold Dinner Dance

Accra, July 16, GNA-Madam Helena Cobbinah, a Board Member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has called on the followers of the Club to unite and rally behind it so that the club would regain its former glory as one of the best on the African Continent.

She said unity plays a very important role in every aspect of life and that they should not allow divisive tendencies to tear them apart. Madam Cobbinah made the call in Accra on Friday at the Dinner Dance hosted by the Teshie/Nungua Supporters Union of Asante Kotoko to climax their First Anniversary celebrations.

The Board Member said the Club has acquired a large tract of land at Kwamo in the Ashanti Region for the building of ultra-modern stadium for the Club

She said the Club has in partnership with Ghana Commercial Bank would soon launch a scheme where every supporter of the Club would be asked to contribute an amount of 10,000 cedis a month to support the stadium project.

Madam Cobbinah gave the assurance , that , the Board would do everything possible to ensure that Asante Kotoko wins this year's Ghana Telecom Premier League. Mr. Michael Coffie, Chairman of the union said some members of the union has withdrawn due to Kokoto's inability to win both the Premier League and the Confederation cups last year. He said the union would soon embark on membership drive to ensure that they get more people to support the club. Madam Cobbinah was assisted by Mr. Wilberforce Mfum, also a Board Member and Mr. Jerry Asare, a Patron of the union to cut the Anniversary cake.
